Description
Mr. Dawa Drakpa is a lecturer at Gedu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan, where he has been teaching since 2011. With over a decade of academic experience, he specializes in Entrepreneurship, Corporate Governance, Business Environment, and Research Methodology. He also serves as the Module Coordinator for Corporate Governance and contributes actively as a member of several key academic and research committees. He holds a Master of Development Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Gedu College of Business Studies.

His postgraduate thesis explored Bhutan’s approach to sustainable development through the lens of Gross National Happiness in education and health.

Mr. Drakpa’s research interests focus on development policy, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and the intersection between academic research and national policy.His publications appear in several Scopus-indexed and international journals, covering topics such as entrepreneurial intention, e-payment adoption, corporate governance,and education policy.

Apart from research endeavors, Mr. Dawa Drakpa has been involved in consultancy projects. Some notable projects include categorizing rural housing insurance for Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan Limited (2011), conducting a customer satisfaction survey for Bhutan Development Bank Limited in 2012, and undertaking an impact assessment of fiscal incentives for the Department of Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Finance, Bhutan in 2020.
