LAUNCHING JULY 2027

School of Accounting, Finance and Economics

Bachelor of Finance and Economics

The Bachelor of Finance and Economics programme integrates and synergizes the strengths of the two disciplines in Economics and Finance. Finance is a microscopic look at industry risk and return on investment, while Economics is concerned with the big picture of how a country, region or particular market is operating and also Economics, being a science of choice, imparts the skill sets for problem-solving. The two are therefore complementary and intricately interlinked. The Bachelor of Finance and Economics aims to provide students with a solid foundation in financial and economic theory and practice, develop students’ analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills to prepare them for careers in a range of financial and economic sectors, including investment banking, corporate finance, financial analysis, asset management and financial consulting. In addition, students will be able to identify and apply the tools of analysis to a wide range of economic issues, including the behavior of consumers and firms, the market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, and international trade. Students will develop the skills necessary to make responsible professional judgments in their economic and financial decision-making. With the expanded depth for majors in Finance and Economics, the programme also prepares students for subsequent graduate studies. Further, it allows students to achieve the highest level of success in their professional careers.
