Biography
Dr Kinley Wangchuk heads the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office at Gedu College of Business Studies, where he leads the college’s AACSB and EQUIS accreditation initiatives and international ranking projects. He has taught corporate accounting and auditing at the college since 2008.
His research examines how accounting can contribute to stakeholder wellbeing, sustainability and responsible governance, and he has published in journals including Meditari Accountancy Research and the Journal of Applied Accounting Research. His doctoral research explores the integration of accounting with Bhutan’s development philosophy of Gross National Happiness.
For more than a decade he has contributed to the design, review and quality enhancement of the Bachelor of Banking and Financial Services, Bachelor of Commerce, BBA and MBA programmes, and was Programme Leader for the Bachelor of Commerce and MBA. He served on the Accounting and Auditing Standards Board of Bhutan from 2011 to 2022, during Bhutan’s adoption of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing, and has professional experience with BDO International in Sri Lanka.
