Sumit Rai

Sumit Rai is an Assistant Lecturer in Human Capital Management at Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS), Royal University of Bhutan, where he has served since January 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from GCBS and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from Samtse College of Education.

Before joining the College, he worked as an Assistant Human Resource Officer at Tashi Commercial Corporation from March to December 2023.

At GCBS he was module coordinator for a number of human resource management and human capital management modules in 2024–2025, and he has been staff advisor to the Audio Visual Club since 2024. As a student at the College he served as a hostel councillor and facilitated a Y-PEER training of trainers.

He is familiar with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), and his interests include conducting research, writing, voluntary service and social activities.
