Sonam Phuntsho

Sonam Phuntsho is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Marketing at Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS), Royal University of Bhutan, with over nine years of university teaching experience and more than two years of professional consultancy work. His teaching and professional practice cover marketing, entrepreneurship, digital marketing, services marketing, consumer behaviour, business law, management and business research.

He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from Samtse College of Education, and an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, both from GCBS. He is also a certified CEFE International Trainer. At the College he supervises undergraduate research, mentors students and contributes to curriculum review and institutional committees.

As a Consultant with AMJ Group of Business, he led multidisciplinary teams on assignments involving organisational assessments, research design and data analysis. He served as Project Manager for Customer Satisfaction Surveys for Druk Holding and Investments companies and the National Pension and Provident Fund (NPPF), and for a Training Needs Assessment for the Department of Local Governance.

His training work includes a 15-day entrepreneurship development programme on new business creation and a professional development programme on time management, problem solving and attention to detail delivered for NPPF.
