Samten Tshomo

Samten Tshomo is a Lecturer at Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS), Royal University of Bhutan, a position she has held since February 2018.

She holds a Master of Business Administration specialising in Finance from GCBS and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from Samtse College of Education, and has completed the NUFFIC University Teaching Programme at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her earlier qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sikkim Manipal University and a Diploma in Financial Management.

Before joining academia, she worked as Marketing Manager at Bhutan Agro and Industries Limited, as Assistant Finance Officer and Administrative Officer at TR Consultancy and Placement Firm, and as Administration and Marketing Officer at Green Dragon Media, where she was also chief coordinator for the animation series Super Norbs and led the marketing team.

She has attended a number of certified training programmes, including the Case Writing and Teaching Workshop at the Sasin School of Management in Bangkok. Her areas of interest are marketing management, finance and accounting, and administration and management.
