Ruth Biswa Karma

Ruth Biswa Karma is an Associate Lecturer in Human Capital Management at Gedu College of Business Studies, where she has taught since 2023. She teaches modules in Human Capital Management and Management, using active learning and reflective teaching practices, and supports academic initiatives aimed at improving student learning and performance.

She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Gedu College of Business Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCHE) from Samtse College of Education. Her areas of expertise are human resource management and management education.

Before joining the College she was Administrative Officer at Dorji International Training Institute, where she managed staff and student recruitment, developed marketing campaigns for the institute’s programmes and oversaw day-to-day administration. She also interned with the SAARC Development Fund under its Economic and Infrastructure Window, assisting with project coordination and documentation. Her professional development includes a Training of Trainers on AI in teaching and research, a research capacity building workshop and online courses in areas such as managing remote teams, digital transformation and employee retention.
