awala is an Associate Lecturer in Marketing and the English Language Department at Gedu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan since 2011. He has MBA (Marketing) from Gedu College of Business Studies, PgDHE & PgCHE from Samtse College of Education, and B.A English & Geography from Sherubtse College.
During his last 9 years as an academician, he has taught Academic Skills, English Language, Business Environment, Analytical Skills, Retail and Distribution Management, and Universal Human Values modules for the undergraduate programmes. Besides teaching, he has acquired basic research, trainer, entrepreneurship, leadership, and communication skills. He provided several trainings: on office management and communication skills, leadership skills, and value education and professional ethics workshop for several schools. He has also contributed few research articles along with his senior colleagues related to entrepreneurship and education in Bhutan Journal of Business and Management (BJBM) and Bhutan Journal of Research and Development (BJRD); and consultancy services on Customer Satisfaction Index, Employee Engagement Survey, Training Needs Assessment, and Agriculture Resource Inventorying.
