What is MOOC ?

A  Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is an interactive online course aimed at reaching an unlimited number of participants worldwide to create a community of lifelong learners.

Khan Academyis a non-profit educational organization created in 2005 by Salman Khan with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of YouTube videos.  Wikipedia

FutureLearn is a digital education platform founded in December 2012. The company is wholly owned by The Open University in Milton Keynes, England. It is a Massive Open Online Course learning platform, and as of May 2018 included 143 UK and international partners, including non-university partners. Wikipedia

Iversity is a Berlin-based online education platform. Since October 2013, iversity has specialised in providing online courses and lectures in higher education, specifically MOOCs. Courses are free and open for anyone to enroll and participate. Many of them are conducted in English or German, but also other languages. Wikipedia
