General Information for admission at Gaeddu College of Business Studies (GCBS) for the academic year 2017-2018

 

1.      Tuition fees and accommodation for Self Funding Students

 

(a)   The tuition fee is Nu.69, 710 (Sixty nine thousand seven hundred and ten only) per year.  A student must pay semester tuition fees Nu. 34,855 (thirty four thousand eight hundred and fifty five only) at the time of registration.

 

(b)   The hostel accommodation and mess facilities will be provided. Self funding students will be required to pay Nu. 1,100 & Nu. 150 per month for the mess and rent respectively (based on 2016 price).  It is mandatory for all the first year students to be in college mess for at least one year.

 

(c)   Institutional Development Fund of Nu. 1,000 (One thousand only) non- refundable, will be collected from government scholarship and self funding students at the time of registration.

 

2.      Requirements for Admission at GCBS

 

All the students enrolled at Gaeddu College of Business Studies MUST come with the following documents at the time of registration. Please treat it as IMPORTANT.

 

(a)  Class XII Certificate and Mark Sheet (Original) - Please make a copy of your certificates for your reference/use in future before submitting it to the college - COMPULSORY

(b) Copy of the Citizenship Identity Card/Letter received from Immigration/Census & Civil Registration – COMPULSORY

(c)  Security Clearance Certificate COMPULSORY

(d) Recent Pass Port Photograph (2 Nos.) - COMPULSORY

(e)  Class XII School Leaving Certificate (Original) - COMPULSORY

(f)  Character Certificate (Original)  - COMPULSORY

 

3.      Other Items required

(a)  Kabney/ Rachu

(b) Sickle (1 each) – Compulsory

(c)  Bedding set

(d) Umbrella

(e)  Toiletries and stationeries etc.

 

4.      Items the college will provide during the time of registration

(a)  Student Handbook

(b) Programme Handbook 

 

5.      Reporting date for 1st year students27th July 2017

 

6.      Registration and orientation - 28th, 29th and 31st July 2017. All the new students must report to the college academic block at 8:40 am sharp on 28th July 2017.

 

7.      Reception – New students will be received by student leaders at the college main gate.

General information for current students (July – Dec 2017) semester

 

(1) General information

 

a)      The college mess will be closed for summer break w.e.f 24th June 2017 after the morning breakfast.

b)      Be reminded of the academic attendance policy and its strict compliance.

c)      Do not leave your valuables including your laptop in the hostel during break. The college shall not be responsible for any valuables missing from your rooms.

d)      Please keep all things (water taps, light, doors etc.) closed once you leave the rooms.

e)      Do not create problems in and outside the college campus after the exams. Treat this as preventive measures.

 

(2) Important dates & reminders

 

a)      Reassessment students report on 12th July 2017

b)      Reassessment Examination -  13th – 15th July 2017

c)      Reporting for other students - 19th July 2017. Student mess opens with dinner. The mess status for all the students shall remain same for the month of July 2017 for administrative reasons

d)      Regular classes start from 20th July 2017.

e)      No fax messages and phone calls will be entertained during the time of reporting.

f)        All self funding students should settle their tuition fees with the college accounts section within 18th August 2017.
